Four-Year Degree Plans

The philosophy degree at Missouri State can be completed in four years or a total of eight semesters. However, a four-year degree plan does not take into account dual credit or transfer credit that you may bring upon admission to the university.

Two degree options

The philosophy program provides two options for completing your degree in philosophy: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. Both the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in philosophy are non-comprehensive degree options, which require the completion of a minor.

For a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, you will need to complete 12 hours of a foreign language, History 103 and History 104, and six hours of fine arts in addition to your major courses.
