A philosophy minor consists of 18 hours, including nine hours of upper-division credit and three hours each in logic and analytical reasoning, ethics and social thought, and history of philosophy.
Select one course in the History of Philosophy: PHI 306(3), 310(3).
Each instance of PHI 197, PHI 397, and PHI 496 may satisfy one of minor distribution requirements A,B, and C when its topic is deemed suitable by the department.
Complete an additional nine hours of Philosophy courses. Minor requires a minimum of 18 hours including at least 12 hours of upper division credit.
Adding a minor
The philosophy minor is available with a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science in Education (Non-Certifiable) or Bachelor of Social Work. To add a minor, see your advisor or visit the Academic Advisement Center in University Hall 109.
